[straits times forum get-together]
if you haven't been reading the papers you wouldn't have found out my new hobby...

that is writing to the forum pages...

it not that i have just started.. in fact, i have been writing to the forum pages for almost more than one year already... and recently, i've been writing for youthink..... and hopefully write more...

and so it was no surprise when i received an invite from the straits times to go for their forum get-together...


straits times editor han fook kwang in his opening statement...

it was a three hour event with hilarious encounters... the editors fielded questions from letter writers... they dealt with questions concerning the usage of english words in the papers - one man literally started a debate - and several issues close to the hearts of the forum letter writers...


the three musketeers - day editor alan john, forum editor and online forum editor...

and it was also a chance to put faces to the names you see on the papers everyday.... those present were also brought on a tour of the ever-exciting newsroom.... not my first time anyway.. but it was still exciting touring the vibrant and creative office....
