upset again.... why do others get so much opportunities while i just sit behind the scenes? ... but too immune to talk about it... anyway, i have almost recovered from my bout of flu on since thursday.... something to be happy about....

two more articles and i'm done for jan... quite busy juggling ns, work and studies at the same time.... but i will make it cause i am strong and i have the fullest support from family and close friends.... ya?

a really sunny day at jurong east sports complex... was there for my unit's 10th anniversary celebrations....



kindof 'chow da' now after being in the sun for close to three hours splashing and laughing out in the pool....

went to super bowl at marina leisureplex today to try my hand at bowling... ouch... now my wrist hurts... but it's still bearable... pity cause i was actually in the second spot but eventually dropped to the third place.... anyway, guess bowling is quite a cheap and fun sport.... let's see how archery feels like if my pitch for a story goes well.....

this whole week would be stay out.... yeah.....

watched the movie 'after school' at sp today.... not too bad... there was subtle emphasis on leaving belongings unattended to more in depth issues like gang rape and shoplifting... the story revolves around the life of a teenager named shao han and documents his trials and tribulations in his life... in the movie, there are up and downs as the plot unfolds... it emcompasses some hokkien phrases with the occasional jokes and singlish.... and though the shots are very 'straight in the face', it paints a very realistic picture of what goes on 'after school' for some teenagers.....

it's real in showing the backstabbing (literally), the running away from problems and of course, family togetherness..... this movie a must watch with friends or family, young and old alike....

listening to jay chou's album at leonard's place..... didn't realise that track 5 is so lovely.... haha.... maybe cause when i first bought the album i just skimmed through the tracks.... won't be home so soon....

stayed up late last night to catch fann in the sars drama serial.... not that bad yet... fann looks great as dr guan sijia..... hope she doesn't start acting cute man like the previous shows.... anyway, the way the story is told is somewhat similar as out to win and looking for stars.... all like to 'die' in the beginning then flashback to the past....

another hip feature that is probably making lots of news in singapore is the promotion of nike freestyle... and there was a much-hyped competition at the youth park.... participants showed their stuff in a bid to win the title of SEA freestyler champion..... all in all it was tough but fun....

what did jacelyn tay, hong huifang, thomas ong and zhu houren do during their younger years after school? some did go hanging out at malls, others 'joined gangs' and some just loved their sleeping hobbies.....

after school, a movie that documents the things a young teen does to prove himself... peer pressure, gangs and family matters are issues that this locally produced movie deals with....

they say in the earlier days.... go this way, very slack.. haha.... and you'll finally be a spec... quite true.... and if you want to be, be the highest ranking of all.... hahaha.... hear people asking me about my previous unit... and grilling me on the eating, talking and idling....

indeed, it was a rousing success for SP's Wushu and Lion Dance Club..... they managed to thrill and pump blood with their pulsating moves and swordfighting skills... i felt as though i was transported into a scene of a gongfu novel's heroes' meet.... hmmm... on hindsight, i was glad i did take up this project....

[a new beginning]
dear ephraim is getting used to his new unit..... it's a ten man bunk that he sleeps in..... and of course, he will move over to a four man bunk soon when he is promoted to CPL... currently, he is under a 3SG who is quite a nice guy and ephraim learns a lot under him.... though the common enemy is a bottle of dark soy sauce called 'da hua' life at 39 is full of fun and laughter where everyone bitches about the bottle of soy sauce....

there has been a lot of new friendships that ephraim has made the past eight days and he is kindof happy with the life at 39.... until of course something happens....

there are lotsa things i wanna say but can't say about this unit... except that it's stay in and that we do chemical defence there..... quite an ulu place... like kampong like that.... hope my 1 year stay there will be smooth like vanilla coke....

just like they say "you can't have a better tomorrow if you keep thinking about yesterday all the time"

at least i have been to 'heaven'.... haha...
