used quite a lot of brain cells today at the pride camp... one day of brainstorming sessions coupled with sleep sessions and a few recee sessions....

held at block 324 of the aloha changi resort, it was a fruitful and interactive session for the stomach too!!!



why? cause i finished my presentations early in the morning and the rest of the day was free and easy!!

[sucky performance]
don't really wish to elaborate why but was quite dissappointed with myself at today's dj hunt....

however, what was interesting was that channel news asia and perfect 10's daniel ong interviewed me!! so keep your eyes glued to the tv and keep that dial on 98.7....

kindof like drunk.... got splitting headache after going for so many activities in one day..... sigh... hope i'll feel much better after a bath....

[combat engineers of the saf]
a force at the forefront, a force that fortifies....

it has been 37 years since the existence of the combat engineers.... and what a wonderful birthday party the combat engineers received...

starting the morning was a parade with the various engineer units... then, the chief of army launched our new chemical biological radiological defence badge....

then, it was a few games and relays before we commanders headed to the mph for a so-called buffet lunch.... delicious mouth-watering cream puffs, cheesecakes, curry puffs and dumplings.....

and then it was time to smoke out.... hurriedly i made my way onto the 5 tonner and headed back to camp to change out of my uniform while the rest booked out from the celebration site.... super duper mini ndp it was!!! not too bad lah... except for the scorching sun....

[lost and found]
imagine doing your business in the toilet and finding a handphone staring at you with your pants down....

imagine yourself dropping your handphone and then being unable to find it just a minute later....

imagine having to check everyone's bag for a lost handphone while they book out....

imagine yourself checking the toilets and your men's cupboards in search of a missing handphone...

all that happened in my camp.... and it was not fun....

[back breaking]
mediacorp artistes ping hui and michelle go through a back-breaking ritual in an attempt to get the audience to call in and donate at the second nkf charity show...

meanwhile, fann and yuwu get mobbed by fans while trying to escape after their balancing act on location in bishan... taking a short break after the stunt, they were eventually escorted by two policemen and a bevy of mediacorp personnel....

rushing in fast steps towards a waiting bus by the roadside, they were whisked back to mediacorp and even managed a costume change.... and in double quick-time, they were back on the set joining their colleagues in a bid for donations....

[striking a balance]
sounds like what my officer always loves to say... but this time, it's for charity... and so you think.... only about half of what you donate to nkf is actually spent on their patients.... so where does the other half go? go figure....

anyway, kudos to mediacorp artistes for doing it again.... watch with bated breath when fann and yuwu attempt a balancing act on a narrow square frame in mid-air!!!

sometimes you beg to differ when you see artistes crying on tv.... is it for real you ask? hmmm... that's for me to know and you to find out...

finally... full scale high intense exercise is over!!! can't describe the feeling man.... seems like kena confined in camp for so long...

anyway, i can now blog from camp as there is internet access in the mess.... cool huh?

something to cheer about... i have finished my pr assignment... hope to score man cause i put in a lot of half day effort making it look good.... no no... i would say great...

met kym ng yesterday an plaza singapura... and yes... i brought my 628 dollar canon ixus II and managed to get a few shots....



also watched hellboy... and it left me wondering:
"what makes a man, a man?"

haha.... just some cheesy phrase they used for the start...

so tell me what makes a man? is it his looks? no... is his how he behaves? nope...

i am going to spill the beans... so if you have not watched, don't scroll down...

occurred to me that time passes really fast.... lotsa commitments to fulfill...

next week will be a very busy week man!! on monday i will have my assignment discussion... tuesday and saturday i have duty.... wednesday is assignment presentation.... thursday and friday i have lessons..... sigh.... and the whole of next week i have a large scale exercise....

and that will be followed by my exams in may.... and i shall finish another assignment by the weekend...

[wasted time]
some people have been saying bad things about sp recently... and they feel as though their time has gone to waste... somewhat true for me too...

hmmm.... that's so especially relevant as four of my videos are still in cold storage... just like what they did to fann wong when they found out that she had a dual contract... anyway, just hope my insignificant efforts writing articles don't go to waste and that they'll be published someday...

and, great news is that someone has requested specially for me to cover their event... more details to come i guess....

[exercise mandai]
went for my first exercise yesterday and was so shacked out to blog last night.... and we just had a safety seminar today.... so far things have been going smoothly.... no stories as yet cause i have a project and an assignment to rush.... plus, two duties this month....

held somewhere in mandai, the excercise was a twangful experience with sightings of my unit's future commanders in underwear....

come to think of it, decontamination exercises are kindof like getting raped.... you have to be stripped of your suits for washing after each exercise... and i forgot to mention that it was held in a forested training area... sadistic...
